To keep the fans of Dave the Chimp cartoon-style happy, and to try and add an extra fun vibe to the opening party, I created 60 individual carnival masks. These were sold for just 10 euros each at the opening, and when someone bought one they were photographed wearing it and the photo was stuck on the wall.Â
I think we sold around 20, and some people kept their mask on all evening (Nina’s mum left the party wearing hers, as she wanted to keep it on during the drive home!)
It would have looked great if everyone had been wearing masks. Next time I’ll try and find a way to make masks that I can give away for free, with free drinks if you keep the mask on! Or an after-party that you can only enter if you wear a mask (and you get kicked out if you take it off!)
